Miler's Club This hiking program is presented as a Pack-wide activity called, the “Miler’s Club”. The goal of the program is to regularly expose Scouts to the out of doors, introduce the concepts of map reading, instill respect for nature and the environment, demonstrate the fun and benefits of exercise, build a sense of Team and recognize their accomplishments. Participating scouts’ miles are tracked and they receive recognition in the form of patches called, “mile markers” at 5, 15, 35, 50, 100, 150, 300 miles etc. In addition, at 35 miles each Miler is awarded a 35 Mile patch and a custom-made hiking stick with their name.
