2010-2011 Popcorn Sale Results
Way to go popcorn sellers!!
Our annual popcorn fundraising event enables all scouts in Pack 63 to participate in many exciting activities throughout the year. Without funding, we would not be able to purchase badges, advancement materials, entertainment for Blue & Gold dinner, Pinewood Derby materials and much, much more.
Congratulations to all the boys for participating in this year’s event!! Total of this year’s sales was $15,264. Of that amount, Pack 63 receives approximately 5,000 to keep the pack running.
Special recognition belongs to the following boys (and their families) who sold over the $1,000 mark:
| Scouts | Total sales |
| Evan J. | $3009.44 (2010 Top Seller) |
| Henry M. | $2,031.39 |
| Finn K. | $1,536.44 |
| Ryan F. | $1,037.39 |
Popcorn Drive Details
Pack 63 runs a Trails End Popcorn drive once a year in September and October. This is done in conjunction with all area Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. The Pack earns 35% of our total sales. Since the money raised is our “budget” for the year, we encourage 100% participation. Sales can be done individually and/or as part of a “Show and Sell”, such as selling at Jewel, Blockbuster, etc. As part of the program, there are “gift” levels for each scout’s individual sales total. The Pack’s expenses include all patches, books, special pack meeting costs, neckerchiefs, just to name a few. The Pack covers the cost of the scout for our Blue & Gold Dinner, outings and parties with the proceeds from the fundraiser.
Fundraising is a great way to teach your scout about goal setting, salesmanship, and interpersonal communication skills.
