Badge & Uniform Info

The Cub Scout uniform can be purchased at one of 2 local uniform stores.
Please call them for their store hours and directions. The West Chicago
store phone is 231-3192 and the St. Charles store phone is 797-4614. When
you go to the store be sure to tell the clerk that your Cub Scout is with
Pack 63, and tell them your Den number and they will know exactly what your
Cub will need. They can also help you if you have questions as to where the
various patches go on the uniform. Get that needle and thread ready. If
you are a coupon cutter, each shop will usually have a 10% off sale sometime
in mid-September, you can call the shops to get the exact dates.

Tiger Cubs, Bobcats, Wolves  and Bears – These scouts are required to purchase a blue, BSA shirt with collars.  Uniform shirts can be obtained at the Dieke Scout Shop in West Chicago.  Uniform shirts are required to be worn at all outings, den meetings and pack meetings.  Certain patches can be worn on this shirt.  The patch layout is provided with the shirt.  There is a different color “neckerchief” for each level.  Pack 63 provides the neckerchiefs.  Pack 63 does not require that pants be purchased.

Webelos – The Webelos can wear either the blue or tan Cub Scout shirt along with their neckerchief.

Brag Vest – The brag vest is a red vest that is worn over the cub scout uniform.  Segments and patches earned over the course of scouting are worn on this vest.  Vests are available at Dieke Scout Shop in West Chicago.

We encourage the Cub Scouts to wear their uniforms to school on days when there are den or pack meetings.  Uniforms should always be worn to pack and den meetings and to Cub Scout events sponsored by the pack.

There will be no need to by a Wolf Handbook, as the Pack will provide each Scout with a copy.  This will be our main resource.  In addition to detailing the required Wolf Achievements and Electives it will also help answer other questions you may have.  The interactive book is light, fun reading.
